Sheel Shah
With 8 years of invaluable experience, Sheel has played a pivotal role in Disha by guiding students through the extensive options of universities and courses in the United States. By prioritizing the objective of securing the most suitable and prestigious institutions, Sheel’s solution-based approach caters to the individual needs of students.
Sheel addresses numerous inquiries regarding university requirements and financial prerequisites with patience and expertise, while handling documentation meticulously ensuring a seamless application process for students.
Kavita Parikh
Kavita has ~30 years of experience in the corporate world and in academia across USA and India. She has been a venture capitalist, an entrepreneur, an MBA professor and a professional counselor for corporates and students.
She is an incisive and caring advisor to students. She is able to do this as her experience gives her insight into emerging technologies and fields of study. Additionally, she annually visits 15+ campuses in USA and Canada to understand what University Deans and Admissions officers are looking for.
Kavita pursued an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati on a merit scholarship. Since then, she has penned the “New Horizon” column for Education Times, Ahmedabad and has delivered lectures on foreign education across colleges in Gujarat and India.
Deeply passionate about helping students, Kavita sometimes goes back into her “teacher” ways to help bring out the best in all her students.
Aparna Solanki
Aparna has a Master’s in English Literature from School of Languages, Gujarat University. She also has 15 years of work experience in the aviation and travel industry. Jumping from travel to academia, Aparna worked as a supervisor for ten years at Canada Visa Facilitation, Ahmedabad before joining Disha.
She brings with her hands-on knowledge of visa requirements and documentation that she imparts to students and is available for all queries.
Steven Parikh
Steven has been with Disha for 15 years and has helped hundreds of students gain admission in US and Canadian universities.
He has built expertise in the Canada admissions and Visa process though campus visits, travel. An IT guy by background, Steven has excellent knowledge about which programs are best fit for students from a education and future career perspective.
Anuj Parikh
Anuj studied at Rochester Institute of Technology and received an MS degree. After gaining work experience with General Motors and Nestle in the US, he returned to India to join a packaging business. Within few years of Disha being set up, he joined the team to guide students on a successful path like his.
The funny man in the office, Anuj has attended the NAFSA: Association of International Educators conference for the past 14 years. Through the conference, he has built close relationships with Admissions Officers at many top universities in USA and Canada.
